After a while , the seeds will decrease. If you get enough flowers growing close together - think English County Garden, there is no room for weeds. Mulch can also help. If you do face book look to join "We are Gardeners" - WAGS. Lots of good tips there as well.

It's very difficult because even if you put down a weed barrier, the wind will blow seeds into your flower bed. Unfortunately, I've only been successful in sitting down and pulling them out and haven't found anyone with a magic secrete. Everything that kills the weeds kills the flowers too.

Because Nature is the way it is, you will never completely be rid of weeds. However, you can do a lot to keep them out. So - if you are going to pull, do it before they're mature. That prevents seeds from repopulating the area. You can also treat them with a vinegar and soap mixture (a tablespoon of dish soap in a gallon of white vinegar - use a spray bottle and only spray the weed) which will also acidify the soil. Another way is to lay weed block and cover it with a few inches of mulch. The weeds will only be able to root in the mulch (if they can) and a small tug brings them right out. And finally, the closer and more mature your garden plants are, the fewer weeds you'll have. Happy gardening!
