What is your favorite home remedy for insect spray off vegetables?

I am having issues with bugs eatting my leafs and vegetables in my garden, what do you suggest that is a good remedy without using pestesides

    Also some dawn dish liquid mixed with water in a spray bottle. Spray plants well.

    Neem oil. Available at Lowes and home depot and most nursery's. It's an extract from the neem tree. Insects hate it.
