Try getting a plastic owl. They look so real. Be sure to get a big one and move it around a couple of times a week. If it stays in one spot, animals are a lot smarter than we think. I also put large rubber snakes all in my garden, hang them from tomato cages, scatter them all over. I have different ones, that curl up and smaller ones that are stretched out. Seems to have worked for me, now if I can just find something to keep all the little insect plant eaters away.

You can try cayenne pepper, you would have to reapply pretty often especially if it rains. I have heard shavings of Irish Spring soap as well.

Old cds hanging around & throughout the garden work well, as do can lids that you’ve drilled holes in & hang with string, paper clips, etc.

Plant marigolds around the perimeter of the garden to keep rabbits out - they hate the taste and smell and will not go in if they think all of the garden is marigolds.

Wire mesh fencing works well around my veggie garden. I used metal "T" posts that you pound in with a sledge hammer for posts to attach the fencing to. The fencing is 4 feet tall, but I needed something taller to keep the deer out, so I went into my woods & cut down scrap trees that were roughly 3 inches thick & wired them to the metal posts, then screwed more of the scrap trees horizontally to the wooden posts making the fence 8 feet high.
