Diluted vinegar
I wouldn't put vinegar on my lawn because I think it will probably kill the grass too. Spectracide Weed Stop can be used on lawns and there is one that says it's for St Augustine grass (purple label). Herbicides that can be used on lawns only kill broad leaf plants. I've used this product on regular grass lawns and it works well. It may take a week before you notice it's working but it will kill the weeds within three weeks. It takes longer than harsher herbicides, but I think it's a fair trade-off.
