i have seen plants called, wait for it, mosquito plants at garden centers. They are supposed to keep them away. I have not tried them. I would love to know if anyone has planted them and if they helped.
There are no proven plants all you can do is try. Citronella plants, Lemon grass, Lemon Balm, however been there done that. They really do not work. When outside the most effective way is to remove any standing water, put on the off mosquito battery operated system, make sprays with essential oils,Use a fan ,make a fire.
