Hi Cynthia. For fruit flies I put apple cider vinegar in a small bowl and then add a little dish soap and then just a little water, enough so the soap starts bubbling. Leave it out on the counter and they will go to it and get trapped in bowl. Good Luck!

for the fire ants, use food grade diatomeous earth, for the inside fruit flies, place bowls of apple cider vinegar covered with saran wrap with poked holes, for the aphids if the plants are in pots, you should r-pot in fresh soil and spray with neem oil, if in the ground spray with neem oil as well as repeat as necessary, for the flies set traps up away from the house to lyre them

For fruit flies I cut a plastic water bottle in half, turn the top part upside down then slide the neck of the bottle in the bottom half leaving the screw top part about a half inch from the apple cider vinegar in the bottom half. The flies get in but can't get out. Works great!
