Large Waterfall Built in an Existing Concrete Pond.

Continental Ponds
by Continental Ponds
Here are some pictures of a waterfall we built inside an existing concrete pool/pond. Under normal conditions we would cut shelves in the pond to stack our waterfall rocks. With this project that was not possible as the concrete was already poured before we arrived. We had to work on a slope below the water line and build up to make it look natural. This created a lot of additional work but the final outcome was rewarding. What do you think?
Finished project after landscape.
This is what we started with
A few of the rocks we had to work with.
Setting the first layer of rock.
Setting huge rocks.
Back filling with gravel up to top of the concrete.
Added underlayment and liner to get us back to the dirt.
12' waterfall rock.
Rocks around the pergola with plant pockets.
Pumps are ready to be installed.
Moving large rocks can be challenging at times.
Testing pumps and finishing edges.
