I need help. Can anyone help me with a privacy wall or fence to surround my deck rail? I need an easy way to replace what i have now, without tearing off the deck railing that is behind the privacy whatever that is there now. It is an eye sore, to say the least.

Have you considered lattice for privacy? They come in sections 4 x 8 same as plywood and several colors, including white. Also they are great for planting climbers like honey suckle. Since they make them in vinyl now, they are also maintenance free.

Thanks for your help. I do have two diff lattice on this now. My mistake, it looks worse now, than on pictures. Unless, I can find some one to size in strips and put some kind of frame on it. This just looks awful, now. We live on main highway, yet. but thanks

how about rectangular pots and plant morning glory or sweet pea. would look pretty and still provide you with your privacy. put the long pots against the railing on the porch or against the outside of the porch

Looking around Houzz or Pinterest might help you figure out a design that you find pleasing, visuals on those website truly can help narrow down design choices.

I like this one vs lattice....but certainly there are other options.

Home depot carries sun screen fabric in different colors that you could weave in and out of the spindles or tack up. You could embellish it with seashells or something of that sort after

Going to look at this. Not sure what this is or how secure the weave would be. Thanks for your help

WOOD AND ALSO PLASTIC WHIT AND COLOURED LATTICE IS AVAIL\ABLE IN 4 BY 8 FOOT SHEETS. IF WOOD IS YOUR CHOICE, USE PRESSURE TREATED FOR OUTDOORS. THERE ARE CHOICES FOR THE SIZE OF THE OPENINGS.

There are rectangular planters with tall trellis screens. You could plant a few with clematis vines or some other plant and place them on your deck. Clematis do quite well in containers. I saw some at Hayneedle, if you'd like to see what they look like. Pricey, but maybe someone else has them for less.

A neighbor hired a carpenter to put a lattice work up on the street-facing side of her deck.

Just to let you know, I went to heyneedle, found trellis screens, stunning! There is open farm land across the highway, gets windy, but surely, somehow there is a way to hold down. thanks , full of info.
