What's your favorite color? Paint the door that! :) You could also add some planter boxes beside the door.

Where do the doors on the right and left go to?! You could paint it. Put some large planter boxes on each side you can build.

Hello. Is your main entrance on the same side? It might be inviting to have a new door color some planters, possibly a wreath if it will not compete with your front door entry.

Since the door isn't used, why not just clean up/decorate the area by building some hinged door containers to house the garbage can and other items? Paint them aand the door you DO use a nice color that makes you happy. Storage area below and perhaps colorful flowering plants in a recessed area on the top and leave the unused door as is so as not to attract attention to it.

  • I would put a planter on either side with colorful flowers for each season.

Which door is the main entrance to the home?

Instead of spending time and money trying to 'make over' the unused garage door, I would suggest to put efforts into enhancing the appearance of the door that is used most frequently as an entry, so that it is identified.

How about a colorful seasonal wreath?

Paint with a pop of color to freshen up.

To "hide": Move the bin and can in front of it and then add a lattice panel to make it less noticeable.

paint a mural on the door you don' t use and clean up around it and maybe put a chair or two there

  • Dee Dee on Oct 20, 2021

I would paint it red, navy blue or forest green. A dark color that stands out. Then I would put flower boxes between the two doors or two sconces one on each side. Hang a beautiful holiday wreath on the door, change for the seasons.

Do you use the other door? If so, I would focus on that one. Paint it a nice color, yes add a few flower pots.

Let the "unused" door pretty much blend in to the rest of the house. That way, the door you do use pops so visitors will naturally gravitate towards that door.

You can get a door with a window

  • Betsy Betsy on Oct 22, 2021

Hi Vanessa: Is it possible to get a large piece of plywood and cover that area and paint it to match the rest of the house? That way you will still have the door if you decide to use it down the line. You can even put a fake window on the new wall and maybe a window box under the window and some fake flowers in that, to eliminate a lot of weight, and then maybe some real flowers in tubs on either side of the 'window'. And, if you have the room, maybe you can put a small cafe table and 2 chairs on the concrete slab or a sitting area.

    Good luck

Nothing, nothing is needed as you won't see it, only a large piece of plywood to cover the entire area from top to bottom and side, by the downspout, to edge, maybe a couple 4 x 8 pieces. It would be like a new, large, blank wall to do with as you wish.

How about storing the trash can, tote and broom inside the door, and use the door.

    Planters would look nice

  • Sharon Sharon on Oct 24, 2021

If you don't use the door, why not remove it and fill in with siding to create a blank wall between the 2 other doors.
