How to hide an ugly gas meter?

you could plant something like purple fountain grass around your ugly gas meter to give some beauty to something ugly. The grass will grow tall enough to completely disguise the meter.
Unfortunately one can't really "hide the meter" as it needs to be accessible by the gas company to repair and to read the dials.
We’ve planted bushes around our meters. It is still accessible for the meter to be read, but isn’t as noticeable
Fencing, shrubs, anything you desire that fits in with the decor of your yard but remember it has to be read by the meter person unless you have the type of meter that can be read at the street.
