Plant trailing plants.
If there are spots where you can tuck a little dirt in between some of the rocks, use something trailing like ivy planted to soften the look of the rock wall. If you are in a warm climate you could also use the rock wall like a rock garden and plant succulents in little pockets among the rocks. Either way, it sounds like you have a lovely place on a lake!
