How do I make my house look centered?

The front door to my house is not centered and has no protection from the elements. It was a raised rancher and we added a second floor. Any ideas???

Move our address number to under the light. Add a large ornamental object (like a metal star) or wreath to the right of the door. Paint the concrete steps brick red so they don't stand out so much.

Could you put french doors in the front to balance it out? Also the concrete steps need to blend in more either with a brick cover on them or paint. The french doors at the bottom left further unbalance the house so painting them to blend into the brick should be great.

Perhaps a doorbrella-- for over the door.

I have never see French door as an entry door. Plus that adds no security or privacy. I looked up Doorbrella on google and most info.is for a car door or slight overhanging piece over a door, which will still not give balance to the offset door.

A porch over the front door would give you a protected area for you and your guests to wait for you to answer the door. The new roof wouldn't actually be that large because you already have some coverage from the upstairs overhang. You therefore wouldn't need columns just brackets that run at an angle from the bottom front of the roof to the side of your house. Below is a mock-up of how this might look. I used the scallop design from either side of the French doors across the bottom of the gable over the porch. I also think you should use more color on your home. Use the color of your shutters around the lower windows as well as the trim and brackets of the new porch. It will tie everything together. One last thing, clean and paint the concrete of the porch.
