How do I refinish a small outdoor plant table?

I was given an old ornate outdoor table that once had a verdigris finish ,,, I would like to restore it. The table is metal but has not rusted.

I would sand it, strip the old finish and reapply something like MinWax to it and finish with a good polyurethane coat to protect, in the future, from water. In fact, two or three coats of poly might be needed.
cheap metal table spray painted.. I used $ store stencil stars...
Sand it off then experiment with paints make sure they are for metal
wash it really well and then spray paint it with spray paint made for metal.
