Photos would help to advise. Pick a theme and decorate following it. What is the function issue?
Function follows common sense. Is there too much furniture on the deck?
Hello Sandra,
Sofas - coffee table - Arm chairs - Dining table and chairs - Tubs of Plants -Outdoor Rug. Outside Lights..........
I have a pretty big deck too 40x20. I have my grill with a small side table in 1 corner. then the other corner I have a hammock chair with a small side table. My table is in the other corner and then you step down to my pool area. I also use
rugs and potted plants too.
I have a small deck, but for a big deck, I would recommend making designated "spaces" with outdoor rugs. You could have one large outdoor rug for an outdoor living area (table and chairs, outdoor sofa if you wanted) and then another designated cooking area. You could also have a hammock or some sort of hanging outdoor chair in another area...and of course an area for potted plants ;)
