5ure why not! wash and dry the furniture, sand off the loose rust and if any chipping paint. Spray paint with a Primer included in the paint your choice of color.
There are tutorials on painting fabric, but maybe throw a couple of cushions in the washer, with some bleach. Try dying them, that might be easier. I did this wrought iron set last month, for my Mother in Law, in Phoenix, and I still have to recover the seats. I did find this great fabric , I think it’s rather perfect.
the original, boring cream! The legs of the table were completely lost, looked all tangled amongst the chair legs. It was a gamble with those colors but, luckily we all like it.
Hi Dee,
I would start by cleaning the chairs and cushions well. Then spray paint the wrought iron. As far as the cushions go here is a post I found on that. Have fun with your project!
Thanks Tiffany! I'll see how that works! Bless You!
That sounds like a great idea. You can spray paint them in the color of your choice. Rustoleum makes a great outdoor spray paint. Good luck!
You have to remove the cushions to pain. Scrub the iron with steel wool soap pads. Let dry well for a day or so in the sun. Use Rustoleum spray paint to paint the metal. I would not recommend painting the cushions. Easy to recover.
Thank you, I have received many suggestions,I will get my materials and start.
