How can I upcycle a wire book case?

Hi there. I would recommend spray paint to refinish the wire bookcase. I would clean it thoroughly with Krud Kutter TSP, then spray with black spray paint. I would use a spray polyurethane to protect it because it will be used outside.

I have a talk one. Clean well and spray paint for metal. I would add a solid surface to shelves. Look for large laminate floor samples. You could find the color you want at a floor cover outlet and buy a a foot of two off a 12 foot side roll and cut your own. Easy to cut. Or use thin wood on your shelves. Hope this helps.

Rustoleum makes great spray paint for the outdoors.
