The above system Shoshana provided is same or similar to one you cab find at Menards. But if you or someone else is handy, you can do this at a fraction of cost. I installed one last summer. If your rafters are in good shape, all you need to do is run cross pieces of green treated lumber every two feet. Starting at back by the house I came out two ft, put up a 1/2" strip then every two ft another strip1/" thicker, ending my run w/last strip being 2" (but this will a depend on length of your roof from house out to end). That increase in gradient allows the plastic corrugated roofing material I used to drain water away from house. I allow a gap at outer end to hang some gutter I had salvaged, added a downspout, & now can set under there i nice but rainy weather & not get dripped on. If you want, let me know & I can send a picture of my setup. But it is pretty simple to install w/an extra hand need to mount the material to ceiling. Good luck.
