How to redo Paint on concrete patio floor?

Painted patio floor 2 years ago following all the rules in a prep kit. Love it-beautiful. Then the paint started peeling/flaking and that keeps spreading. Need to redo it but how do I prep this so it does not happen again-ie-the peeling/flaking that is happening now needs to be GONE before I paint again. They are in random places, not heavily walked areas, at least 20 areas of them-patio is about35 x 12 feet.
I would first get a power washer and get it cleaned off with maybe some sanding in spots. The stores have paint for concrete, pick a color and redo it. Maybe you painted while it was to damp and had not fully dried. Or maybe a oily spot. You could always stencil over it also.

Concrete is porous and it expands with the element of the seasons. There may be paints but many do not guarantee against this happening. Painted concrete looks nice but you may want to color dye it instead.
Look on the internet I am not a person to consult but there are applications out there. You may want to go professional so that you get their experience behind the product.
I'm not sure what to tell you about the peeling paint other than it should be removed before repainting. If you decide to repaint consider a "softer" paint. Look for a 2 part, polymer-acrylic with an epoxy base. Reputable Tub refinishers use this type of paint on fiberglass tubs. *Yes, it would have to be sprayed on. However, It allows for the expansion and contraction of the tub. I would assume it would do the same with concrete.
The paint on my mom's patio is doing the same thing. We researched the problem and what we learned is that the paint needs to be removed. Either with a high powered (professional) sprayer or sandblasted. Unfortunately she hasn't been able to find a contractor yet willing to do such a small job.

does that mean I have to remove all the paint? We did do the prep that came with the kit.
Hi Connie, I would suggest power washing the concrete first with an etching concrete cleaner to get rid of the old paint. Rinse well and once it dries, use a roller extension and paint with a concrete floor paint.
