Living in a cold climate presents problems for summer storage unless you have a shed or garage. You can purchase a composite storage box which has the seat on top for about $100 which you can store all of your cushions in. If you have a table set the chairs usually stack up, so you can either bring them inside or cover with a tarp and use bungie cords to hold the tarp down. You can do the same with the table or any sofa type chair. If you have room you can put them under your deck. Be sure no water can get to the table and chairs in the Spring when the snow melts.
Hi, I'm from Minnesota, so we also have relatively short summers. I stack my cushions in the garage or the storage shed right now, but when I didn't have but a small storage shed I had to do it differently. We lived in a huge rent house that had a covered but not enclosed front porch. I would leave the furniture as is, but stack the cushions on the love seat. I used a clear painters plastic tarp to completely cover the love seat with all the cushions like it was a package and tuck the bottom underneath the cushions. They stayed covered all winter and were clean and dry for spring to put out on the furniture again. It worked for me, it should work for you if you have room under your deck to store the furniture. You could stack the other furniture in a compact group and cover it with a tarp and use bungee cords to hold it on. That should keep them clean and dry and out of the weather for you.
