Do you have a picture?
Yes please a picture would be VERY helpful.
If you are talking about a Y-shaped path from 2 doorways to meet in the middle, You could either add a paver walkway, or a pea gravel or an epoxyed pea gravel pathway. Cut out the sod in the pattern of the path about 3-4" down, add edging, add landscape fabric, then a layer of pea gravel and then sand if a paver patio.
To work out the design you can use hoses or colored rope to get it where and the shape you like, then use the garden florescent spray paint to mark it. Then happy digging.
