What can I do about sunken pavers that flood when it rains?
Outside of my screen porch is an area of pavers that tend to flood when it rains. It has only gotten worse in the two years since I bought the house.
My patio furniture stays out year round - granted I live in Southern CA, but even if I wanted to store, my garage is not big enough. Some people here place tarps over their items. It does not last as long as if it was stored. More affluent homes have bigger garages or storage sheds.
Honestly if the weather is warm just leave mother nature
Cover them. Lowe's carries covers or find on line
a tarp with gallon jugs filled with water to hold it down. or throw pillows in the house until rain is over
Hello Komg; It depends what type of furniture that you have!!
Personally, I have a picnic table that stays in my back yard all year.
It has been heavily stained, so I do not worry unless we have a Hurricane, and in the Garage it comes.
I do not leave any cushions outside.
I have huge metal chairs that I keep in my Garage and bring out when I BBQ.
Aside from that, heavy duty plastic covers work great if I leave anything outside.
I hope that this helps you!!! Take Care!
Stack and cover. Grommets and cording sack up from the bottom first then another over the top down and set moisture absorbent canister inside before sealing if in high humidity location. Tightly closed is good but if expensive furnituse I'd rent a storage until threat is over. Check frequently otherwise. Baking soda is anti mold and mildew too. Haven't dealt with much rain but I'd try setting canisters of it around if I had. Check ever so often just to be sure. Plastic trash bags work ok for chairs taped shut. I do this for painting protection. Best of luck.
A lot of places sell storage boxes that look like outdoor furniture to put them in. Just make sure that you make sure it is waterproof. Put the cushions in there and take them out when you need them. They stay clean and dry.
There should be no issue unless you have fabric cushions that are not waterproof. If not, you can DIY with spray on protectant.
