Tile is the best for this area. Cleans easy and water will wipe right up.

I used tumbled tile on my screened porch. I lucked out and got buckets of scrap tile from a new construction. The pieces are a mish mash of shapes and sizes, but free is free. Looks like cobble stone of days gone by. It has held up very well with all the gardening muck, the dogs, cats and my fumbling fingers dropping everything. The tile is pretty expensive, but you can get others that are not slippery like ceramic is. Or you can scrounge, like I do.

MAKE sure you have the right tile that won't be SLIPPERY when wet. Anything you put "outside" is going to get wet - maybe re-do the floor so it "slants" and therefore would drain rain water away??

You could remove the carpet and paint a basecoat and design on the plywood (you can find all sorts of ideas on how to do this by Googling it). You could also put down an indoor/outdoor mat (bamboo) after a basecoat on the floor.

Another idea is a textured paint called 'Valspar' (Home Depot or Lowes). My brother used this on his screened-in porch and it looks great and has held up really well.

i used the kids play room squares shaped like puzzle pieces and made a cushion base then i put straw beach mats on top for rugs. It gets wet and dries fine in my screened in porch.
