You can always get the retractable kind. Pull it out when you need it; it retracts when you don't. My mother hid her clothline poles under honeysuckle at one house, wisteria at another. Or, you could have posts with solar lights or garden art. Hope you create a beautiful space!
We had an retractable clothes line. Loved it. Winter and spring it was hidden from sight and too cool and wet to line dry anyway.
