sunbrella brand. very tough stuff. so tough i had my couch and love seat for the living room covered with it. my cats have not been able to shred it and its water repellent. doesn't collect pet fur. hasn't faded. what's not to love? i did have to order it from a design company. soooo worth it.

Canvas or heavy woven types. They can be found in plastic as well as fabric.

    Good luck!

The best fabric is an outdoor fabric. It's made to withstand the elements including harsh sun. You can use a fabric protector/waterproofer on other fabrics, but I've only had limited results with it. In Canada, I order my fabric through Fabricville.ca, but when I had property in Florida, I would always go to Joanne's. They seemed to have the best selection.

be sure and measure well to find out how much fabric you need, then look at the prices. Buying new cushions could be cheaper and might be on sale right now.

I purchased two rocking chairs at Pier One seven or eight yrs. ago and they are made from and wood/resin combination. I take them inside every winter, and there is one very small place that is starting to crack. Not bad for their age. Try an on-site catalog called Brylane. Company carries a log of resin rocking chairs and picnic tables.
