Building a Woodshed

Last weekend my husband built a woodshed at our house in the mountains. He wanted a covered, but ventilated open shed that would allow some freshly cut wood to season and be somewhat sheltered from rain.
The woodshed is 6ft x 16 ft long x 6 ft tall in the front and 5 ft tall in the back
It took several trips to bring all the wood needed to build the woodshed.
He built the frame for the floor and placed it on stacked cement blocks.
With the help of a few hours from a friend, he was able to finish the entire project in a single weekend.
Enjoyed the project?

Jeanette S on Sep 01, 2014Great idea! Yep, Gotta keep that wood dry and out of the snow! The first year we moved to Atlanta, we had our wood in the garage (did not know not to put it there...dummies) but we were the only ones with dry wood when the snow came! California and Florida transplants were provided with wood for an entire week...the electricity was out!
