When we moved in I knew what I needed to do with this kitchen. It’s small! So we needed to make it feel bigger and use the space wisley.

The colour combo 🤢 not my style!

Before

After we raised the cupboards up a bit! This made a HUGE DIFFERENCE! And was super easy.

We decided to remove the cuboards over here

I also removed the ugly green tile behind the stove…. It’s safe to say the old owners loved greens

When I took the doors off I primed the frames 3 times with bin shellac primer after sanding

I primed the faces of the doors after making sure I labeled them to know where to put them back!

3 coats of primer on the doors.

as u can see I filled the old knob holes so I could add my own

After primer I painted the cabinets in pale oak by Benjamin more!! And top coated 3 times with polyurethane!

I used my shelves I made from 2X10 wood

And used my metal industrial brackets from DIYCARTEL

I love how much bigger open shelves makes a kitchen!

I bought new handles from amazon and I LOVE them! 10 for 30$!

We’re in the “thinking process” of redoing our bog standard flat white melamine doors. Can I paint directly onto melamine? I’m going to attempt shaker style doors and drawers. I don’t have many cupboards in my council kitchen, but I’m very nervous of ruining the crappy ones I have! That’s why we’re in the “thinking process” 💭 💭 💭!!!!!!!
