Indoor/outdoor carpet painting?

I have dark brown ugly indoor/outdoor carpet on my screened in porch that is glued down and impossible to remove. With all the posts of rugs that people have painted, could it work on my carpet?

Sorry, Kathy Logan, did you ever get an answer to your problem? My carpet is an outdoor carpet and the color faded while exposed to the elements. I use an outdoor craft paint and it worked well and was quick to use. However, I failed to put a sealer on it, so some of it I'll have to redo again. My carpet had an design on it and that is all I painted. I didn't paint the entire carpet. Not sure if that will help any. Sorry, didn't see this message till now. My apologies.
