Accent chairs are a huge rage right now, but they are expensive!! I could not find one that was under $100. I really badly wanted one but I'm too cheap to spend that much money on a chair. So my goal for the summer was to find a nice chair that I could redo. Well I found one and I love how it turned out!
I found this chair at a garage sale for $5, yup only 5 dollars!! It is in great shape and I love the size and shape of it, so I was so excited to see it. I guess they had two but one person bought the other one and he was desperate to get rid of it, so I snagged it up for 5 bucks.
I used some fabric that I already had in my stash of fabric. It's actually a really nice fabric, so I was really happy that I had it. I started with the bottom of the chair and started putting it on, using a staple gun to bottom of the chair.
Then I worked on the back and the sides. I used the staple gun and at one point I had to cut the fabric to get it to look good. There was a lot of trial and error while putting it on, but it all worked out :).
And here it is after putting the fabric onto it! Oh how I love how it looks, these are some of my absolutely favorite colors!
Here is what the back looks like.
And here is what it looks like in our formal living room! For more step by step instructions, check out my blog post.

Chairished Furnishings on May 10, 2016Looks really cute in the new fabric. I have a couple of similar chairs I snagged on Craigslist but not for $5! That is a steal. Plus I think the facric I ordered ended up being about $30 (enough to cover two chairs). Great post
