This sweet little drop leaf table was refurbished with Happy Hour and Hemp Oil by Cheryl from Shab-2-Fab!
Summer has arrived and when the temperature goes up so do the yard sale signs. One sign just so happened to lead me to this cute little drop leaf table in need of a little love.
When I first laid eyes on this table I was intrigued, I had never seen a side table quite like this before. A world of possibilities opened up to me as I looked her over. Upon inspection I found this little table to be in pretty good condition. She was sturdy, leggy and both her leaves popped and dropped into place perfectly. I brought her home where I gave her a nice bath and sanded her top down before applying paint.
This piece had been dark for far to long and was in need of a fresh breath of life and color. I applied 2 coats of Happy Hour from Country Chic Paint's all-in-one paint. I then stained the table top using Old Masters gel stain in dark walnut and gave it a gray wash using Country Chic Paint's paint in the color Pebble Stone by simply watering down the paint and washing it over the stain to create a beautiful weathered wood look.
I then sanded the bottom portion of the table with a 150 grit sand paper to give it a light distress and finished the entire piece in Country Chic Paint's Hemp Oil. Once the piece had time to soak in all that amazing Hemp Oil the only thing missing was a knob. I decided on an antique crystal knob to tie the entire piece together making it one beautiful, bright and happy table.

Ihave never heard of hemp oil...does it come in colors? Assuming it does since the legs look pastel in color...so cool BTW!
