This is how I turned this old, beat-up Hoosier Cabinet into a Coffee Bar for my kitchen.
I always wanted to have a coffee bar in my kitchen. This old, beat-up Hoosier Cabinet I found on Craigslist had the perfect dimensions for my space so I decided to buy it.
It had been painted and stripped a million times and the wood was in horrible shape inside and out so I had to use a lot of wood filler to fix all holes and scratches. I also . scrubbed it with soapy water to remove years of dirt.
It took me hours of sanding, cleaning, and wood filling until it was in decent condition to receive some paint and stain.
I painted the outside in General Finishes Persian Blue and the inside in General Finishes Snow White.
I replaced the old knobs and pulls for new metal ones in rustic nickel.
I used Chalkboard Paint to paint the top left door and wrote my current motto on it. "But first... coffee."
I chose Smoke Metallic Paint by Modern Master to repaint the flour dispenser.
I also stripped, sanded and restained the bottom cabinet wooden top with General Finishes Dye Stain (water based) in Medium Brown.

I hope most of you will enjoy it! (I know some of you hate painted furniture and I respect that too)
