A family friend asked me to refurbish an old dresser into a toybox, for their son, but what I ended up doing to it worked out better in the end! The original plan was to take the top off and hinge it, but when I started to dismantle it, the wood started splitting, so I improvised....
I removed the drawers and built shelves out of them....
I sanded it down for a new coat of paint, they requested light blue...
Installed the new shelves...
Had a few storage bins already, so I bought a few more to complete the project....
