MCM Nesting Tables "Gingham Style"!

Kathleen
by Kathleen
After searching for a set of nesting tables, I was over the moon excited when this set of MCM nesting tables crossed my path!
They were in great condition structurally and only had a few minor scratches due to wear and tear in its previous life.
When I saw the pencil thin groove etched on the perimeter of each table, I knew that would be inspiration for me to do something special with the middle portion of the table.
This did require some math skills, (not all of them mine) and lots of taping and even more patience!

Using Chalk Paint(R) By Annie Sloan, I painted a base color of Pure White and then after taping the lines, I made a glaze by mixing Coco Chalk Paint(R) With a glazing medium and painted the lines.
After sufficient drying time, I taped again going in the opposite direction and painted with the Coco glaze mixture resulting in a gingham pattern.
I finished by painting the remainder of the table with the Coco Chalk Paint(R) And adding a protective layer of clear wax.
I couldn't be happier with the result!
