Redecorating the house and discovered I had 2 odd extra bedside tables. Had been seeing a lot of the navy been done and loved the look so I decided to give it a try myself.
These are the bedside tables I started with. Pretty plain and simple but I had great plans!
First I pulled them apart and sanded them, I thought it'd be easier when getting into tough spots. Not sure if it was though!
Then I primed. The lesson I learnt here was always use a dark primer with dark paints!
Because my first 'navy' layer looked like this! When I went back for my second pot of paint the guy told me that it needed a dark tinted primer. Wish the first guy had told me that! Would of saved me many many layers!
I love little bits of gold on the navy so I put some dollies in the corners, to match the drawer knobs.
But in the end they came up beautifully! I love them!
