I found this old chair at my local goodwill. It was begging for new life. I didn’t buy it the first time I saw it , but when I went back a week later it was still there. I picked it up and brought it home, having no idea what to do with it. The poor thing was an ugly black color , the legs were loose, and the seat was in need of a redo. I tightened the legs by applying some wood glue, I painted the chair red, reupholstered the seat ( my first attempt of ever doing that) then added a black glaze. I am pretty happy with the final result. My only regret I forgot to take before pics of the chair itself, I do have one one of the old seat. Now on to the next project.
This was the old seat that really needed an upgrade
First coat of paint
Second coat of paint
Here is the brand new seat
