My husband and I came up with a plan for our old radio he had as a stand, in his garage.
My husband sanded the radio down and started the painting. This is a similiar radio. We forgot to take a before picture.
My husband cut a larger hole and then glued trim around the edges. He bought plexi-glass and glued it inside the radio. He then painted another coat of semi gloss black paint.
So the wife got to add the orange twinkle  lights to the bottom 50pc
Then white twinkles 50pc both clear.
So there you are. A little decoration from a old radio thrown to the curb.
Well me (the wife) The brain started working overtime. Pulled out some Christmas decorations. Added pine cones. There are so many variations I could do.
I put my manger scene inside with just the lights. I also bought a dimmer extension plug so I can adjust the brightness. Dimmers don't work well with led lights.
So imagine all the possibilities. New Years, Valentines day Easter on and on. All wrapped up in a little radio.
I was making this for my daughter but I believe I will keep it. She'll never know. Below is a video of the finished project. icon
