Painted and Stenciled Piano Bench

I had an old piano bench that I was saving for a project. The bench was very old and scratched up! So I decided to chalk paint and stencil the bench to fit the "bright and happy" theme in my living room.
This is what the bench looked like before I started my project.
I started out by chalk painting the bench in a sunny yellow. Then I added a large stencil to the center of the bench. I also stenciled a cute little bird on either side of the main stencil.
This is what the bench looked like after I stenciled it.
Now, my bench sits to one side of my home's front door, just off our mini mud room area. It's a great spot to sit and take off our shoes before entering our home! I dressed up the bench with a few pillows that I've made. For more photos and details on how I painted my bench, you can check out my tutorial on my blog, Mom Home Guide. Thanks for the read!

Jen Panguluri on Aug 21, 2016I really like that yellow color, creamy and pleasant. The stenciling is simple and lovely. It looks great in your mudroom (in photos from over at your blog)!
