    Yes, Pam! Sand the old frame, not necessarily down to the bare metal. You just need to get loose paint, rough edges, and bubbles out. Then paint the frame with Rustoleum or a similar paint. If the glass is smooth on top, then paint the glass bottom with stained glass paint or Unicorn SPiT. Seal it with oil-based polyurethane sealer, spray type. Your table will look fresh, trendy and attractive. 😇

    First, remove the glass if the glass is broken, spray paint the bottom with Rust-Oleum 2X paint with primer in desired color, then use pallet wood cut to fit the top, sand the wood, then paint/varnish/lacquer it to my desired color, then use clear Marine Spar Varnish to seal and protect it. Voila! A new table.
