It depends on how refinished you want it. We like to use a mix of:
1/3 shellac
1/3 turpintine
1/3 boiled linseed oil
Combine and wipe down furniture and allow to dry. Doesn't smell great, so work in a well ventilated area. We have some antique doors that we did this treatment on over ten years ago and still like it.

Repainted my table with marble effect
You haven't said it was a table.
You can paint any furniture with chalk paint, decopatch with book pages, cover with material. You can mosaic. But it depends on what the furniture is.
