Can I make a double dresser into two night stands?

I have a six drawer dresser, all wood. I would love to make it into two 3 drawer night stands. Any suggestions?

    Pictures of the existence dresser would help someone to answer that question. Can you post one or two?

    There is actually a tutorial on here showing you how to do this exact thing. So yes it is possible. Check upcycled furnishings I believe that is where you will find it.

    You will have to divide the dresser equally, a picture would really help with the "how to's".

  • It's going to depend on how the dresser was built originally but you should be able to cut it in half. You'll then have to address the cut sides and top to close everything up, then probably its base or feet. I'd give the piece a big once-over first then figure out the remaining steps before cutting.

    Cut it in half and add top and legs (Timber,steel or Hairpin etc. or plinth to match existing.
