Nice chair, dye it with analine dye, paint would ruin it.... here are the products I use on clients leather furniture.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6AopwTuYAo
Although leather can by dyed, this chair is not leather. Vinyl will not absorb dye the same way as leather will, as it is not a natural fibre. I agree that the chair looks to be in perfect condition, and in my opinion, if you try to do anything to the surface to change its colour you risk being stuck with results that are less than attractive, or might otherwise not meet with your expectations.
Luckily the present colour of the chair is neutral. I would urge you to consider instead adding the colour you want in the room with either throws or cushions.
Have you thought about covering the chair with upholstery fabric? There are so many colors and patterns to choose from I’m sure you will be able to find a fabric to your liking. Dying vinyl is very difficult and from my experience the results are usually a little off from expected.

Whenever you want to paint something it's best to choose a product made for the material you want to paint. Here are some paints that were reported to work the best on vinyl upholstery:
Of course, reviews are not the same as studies. The above recomedations were mostly for single items. Just because one person had a good or bad experience doesn't mean you will have the same experience. The above paints had a sheen from satin to semi-gloss.
It is absolutely important to clean the vinyl with a de-greaser before painting. 91% isopropyl alcohol works great, but do not use it around an open flame. Although the alcohol won't hurt your skin, be sure to wear gloves from this point on so you don't accidentally touch the vinyl after you have cleaned it. As with any spray paint the application should be light to avoid runs, and repeated multiple times till coverage is achieved.
