How can the center piece of a base cabinet be removed?
I’m curious if I could cut out the center vertical post? Attach it to the side of door? I’d like to install slide outs. Thanks!

Hi Lori! Yes it can be done....the center piece is called a "stile". You will .just need to be careful about distributing the "load" of the drawer or drawers above. Here's an article about how to go about it. I'm thinking about it too as it seems like such wasted space to not have drawers that slide out. The slide outs make oh so much more stuff accessible!

The stile can be removed but if you feel reinforcement is needed glue and screw a supporting board horizontally above the opening in the inside of the cabinet.
