Color ideas to make 1947 cabinets & trim *POP*! :)

Hello,
Our home was built in 1947. The original cabinets are super solid & were made by hand. I painted the kitchen walls the lighter shade of green a few years back, and went conservative with a little darker green on the cabinet doors (see photo). After browsing home talk, I've come to realize that I could paint the cabinet doors, wood trim, etc different colors---which would make a huge, positive impression in the kitchen. :)
My question to my hometalk friends is given the wall and floor color---what colors could you see on the cabinet doors? The trim above the doors? Please note---the cabinet doors are pretty big; they each measure 32" X 23". There are a total of 7 cabinets.
If you think that the wall color has to go as well (lol), please advise. I am open to any and all suggestions. :)The existing countertop is rough and will be replaced at some point in the near future. :)
Thank you for reading this post and for sharing your thoughts. Have a great week! :)
Kitchen cabinet above dishwasher. Each cabinet door measures 32" X 23".
Kitchen floor; laminate that resembles tile.

Cool; yeah, the idea is to have contrast with the color you choose, so this gives you the basic impression! I've painted my cupboards several times now and I'm still thinking of going another color. My way was the rustoleum kit, with color, stain (glaze) and topcoat... but I regret the glaze; instead of being a factory look, each one looks different, so I would recommend against that route. Greys are big right now, and if you like green, like I do, they can be very pleasing too -

Annie Sloan chalk paints duck egg blue baby! Lol. Distress with brown or dark wax.

@Beth H. Makemeprettyagain.blogspot Hi Beth, I am attaching a better shot of the kitchen area---however, I am not sure how to make the image larger than it is; I'm open to suggestions. Thank you. :)

Have you considered cutting the centers out(rectangular vertical) then you'd put a heavy glass or plastic material in of desired shade&"texture", I've seen several of these & considered doing this myself when I get time. You could also change hardware if desired.Good luck. :-)

If you don't want to go the route of replacing the center with a glass/plastic, you could look into the cabinet refinishing kits available, you have them custom mixed & the kits are sometimes on sale for about $50.00, that's the other route I want to try with mine. My cupboards are so heavy&sturdy, I don't want to replace them. You can go get the color options from your local hardware store or look online for them.

Would do white cabinets. For the multi-level detailed trim, I would paint one the same colour as the walls or tiles - or do a combo. This will give a nice horizontal line and draw attention to the intricate details on the trim.

Are the colours in the floor tile that you like? Did you choose the green from it? You could pull 2 coordinating colours from the floor and do lighter on the top darker on the bottom cabinets.
