How do I paint a laminate bookshelf?
I've got an ugly 80's-type faux-wood bookshelf that I'd like to paint white, but I don't want the paper to bubble or come off during the project, either while I'm wiping down to clean it or while I'm painting. Any suggestions?

I've painted laminate cabs several times, with beautiful results. I clean well, use a good primer, and 2 coats of paint. Cannot remember what the paint was, I got it at Benjamin Moore dealer, just told them what I wanted it for.
Nicci to make sure your project comes out great, make sure it’s free of dust, bubbles or tears to start.
I wouod stay away from a flat paint and go with a semi or gloss so it can be cleaned or dusted easily.
Use a bonding primer that seals the surface and allows paint to adhere.
You'll want to use a shellac or oil based primer on it to prevent the paper from soaking in any moisture.
