For tile or laminatethey sell kits for that sold at Home Depot. Step by step instructions are in the kit. Those epoxy kits are you only hope of having the stick.

Hi Diana! I can tell you how to paint your counter tops with Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint :)
It is super easy to paint with Dixie Belle.
Step one: Clean with White Lightning
Step two: Apply two coats of Slick Stick
Step three: Paint one to two coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint
Step four: Use Gator Hide for a water-repellent finish
No sanding required!

I used the counter top paint on my old blue counter tops. Then once that was dry I actually painted over it with black chalkboard paint. It made a really cool flat finish almost like soap stone. All in it was about $35 and held up well!
