Darella,. Start with washing the cabinets with Murphy's oil soap, the get the grease and grime off, or Lestiol. Make sure the wood is completely dry. Remove the hardware, as well as the doors and drawers. Use high-gloss paint, 2 coats. This finish is easy to keep clean, just a damp sponge to wipe up finger prints. Paint everything on a flat surface, to avoid peeling and streaks. If the front is flat, roll it on. Spray the hardware, or buy new, but it gets pricey. Aloha!
