How do i remove the futon from a twin loft bed with futon underneath?
I want to remove the futon to have space under the twin bunk/loft bed. I'm concerned about the stability of the bed after doing so.

Yes removing the futon could make it less stable. Possible some sort of cross bracing on the sides and back would help. If it is wood, some sturdy trim boards painted or stained to match the loft bunk might work. There are lofts with desksvunderneath and that could add stability if bolted to frame. Look at loft beds online or in an Ikea catalog to see how others are built. You might find ways to make shelves that add strength to your frame.

Hello, here is a video on bracing the bed that might help. It looks like it makes the bed very solid.
