Rustoleum has some nice spray paint specifically for metal that would probably work, and it's fairly inexpensive...maybe $7? I'd tape off any windows and starting spraying. ;)

You paint it just like any other door. Remove any loose paint, clean it well, use a high-adhesion primer, then an exterior house paint (check the label for metal--most of them are for it as well). I would use a high density roller and foam brush to avoid brush strokes. Here are some YT links: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+paint+a+metal+front+door

We have an auto body shop just down the street and they will spray a door for not much more than I'd p as for primer, paint and my time cussing as I get paint everywhere. You might want to check to see if this is a possibility for you. Otherwise, the first two posters are right on with their advice.

@Trixie63 That's a great idea!!! (as long as you can spare the front door for a while LOL).

New metal doors are primed with white paint, as long as they are still covered you can clean them and paint them with any out door paint. If you don't have a sprayer lay them down and roll the paint on with close knap rollers, let dry and turn over and paint other side, this method helps prevent runs, and the paint will flatten out better.

I used regular exterior paint on our metal door and it turned out beautiful.

My metal front door is peeling. I need some tips on how to strip and paint it.
