You have your work cut out for you. Most of the reviews for paint used on Formica is not that positive. I used a Primer called ZINSER Bullseye 123 for a similar project to get a base for any coating.It's water-based, no order to speak of and dries with a finish that resembles rubber. The best primer I've used so far. Wear gloves, when it dry's, it's a perfect sealer...
