I know that Rustoleum has an outdoor upholstery spray paint that works great. Not sure if you're doing indoor outdoor furniture.

Paint Upholstery With Jacquard Fabric Paint
Keep in mind that not all fabric lends itself well to being painted. Once the paint is absorbed into the fibres, the texture of the fabric can sometimes then feel stiff and rough.

Use ritz dye make it in water to your color and then put on with a brush or rag don’t soak the piece
