Turn the chair over, unscrew the seat part, remove the old fabric. Put the fabric of your choice back on just like it came off and reattach the screws.
Lay fabric on the floor or table - place chair seat directly on top. Cut fabric 2" bigger than chair seat. Staple fabric to front of chair - stretch to back and staple do both sides the same then fold in corner and make inverted pleat and staple. Repeat other corners. Fold in and pleating as necessary, rest of fabric around chair and staple to base. Trim excess fabric and your done.

If it is detachable and on a wood frame I would staple new fabric over it. You can find faux leather in fabric stores and on line.
Take the seat off the chair. Take off the existing faux leather seat carefully. This you will use as a pattern for the new one. Get the material you want from a fabric store and cut out the material from the pattern. Restaple it on and put the seat back on the chair.
